| The following adult cats are residents of Harmony Haven and are available for adoption. Not all of the cats have been photographed yet. They have all tested negative for feline leukemia, are receiving their immunizations, and are pronounced healthy. They have been spayed/neutered at the age-appropriate time. Woody - AvailableDescription: Male short-haired black and white domestic. Born around January 1, 2006.Narrative: Woody got his name because he was found coming
out of a wooded area. He was apparently abandoned. Woody loves to
be held and petted and purrs in appreciation. He especially enjoys having
his tummy rubbed. Woody is very friendly and affectionate and also
very gentle. This lovely cat with the beautiful eyes will make a wonderful
companion.

Calista - AvailableDescription: Female short-haired calico. Born around August 1, 2006.Narrative: Calista is a lovely cat with beautiful green
eyes. Calista is friendly, socialized, and gets along well with other
cats. She will make a fine family member.

She is so loveable and cuddly. And she likes both cats and dogs.
She especially likes to sit in laps and be petted. This healthy,

disposition. She was found as a stray. She is very friendly,

Gizmo - AvailableDescription: Female long-haired gray, orange, and white calico. Born aroundMarch 1, 2005. Narrative: Gizmo is a lovely calico who is friendly and
affectionate. She is always looking for an available lap. Our
younger visitors enjoy holding her. She will make a wonderful member
of a family.

Sara Lee - AvailableDescription: Female short-haired black and white. Born around July 1, 2002.Narrative: Sara Lee is a beautiful cat who was abandoned along with her siblings. She was adopted by an elderly lady and spent her days on her lap or on the back of her recliner. Sara Lee slept with her every night. Unfortunately, the lady passed away recently. So Sara Lee is back at Harmony Haven and is looking for another person to whom she can give her devotion. She is affectionate and likes to be held and petted. She
prefers to be an "only cat".

likes to be held and petted. He lives in the room with adult cats
and fits in well. When he was brought to us, he was infested with
fleas and had lost patches of hair. Now he is healthy, has re-grown
his fur, and is just waiting to be a part of your home!

She was especially cooperative during her photo session and agreed to pose in the basket. She loves to be loved, but also is confident and holds her own with her four siblings. Annie and her litter-mates were fostered by a volunteer and received lots of love and attention. She would love to share your home. |

Baby - AvailableDescription: Male black short-haired cat brought in as a kitten by a Harmony Haven member who found him with his mother in the Howard subdivision. He was born about April 25, 2001.Narrative: Baby is a little shy, but likes to be
petted. He has adjusted well and enjoys playing.

Diana - AvailableDescription: Female gray with yellow markings. Diana was brought in July 7, 2001. Born around April 21, 2001.Narrative: Diana was brought in by a Harmony Haven member, who told us she was eating birds and mice, and living in a shed. Diana was the last of her litter. She was considered feral. Since the Harmony Haven member warned us to use caution when handling her, we placed her in a cage. At first she thrashed around her cage. When she settled down a little she just huddled, trembling. After she was talked to in soft tones for a while, she started purring. The following day, she started to love to be petted. After brief periods in her attendants' laps, she has become a lap kitty in only one day! Diana is still shy and is also apprehensive around children. A quiet home with adults would suit her purrfectly. |

Amos - AvailableDescription: Male long-haired smoky black. Brought in August 2, 2001. He is completely blind in one eye. Born around May 15, 2001.Narrative: Amos was blinded in one eye when he came to Harmony Haven. However, when brought to the large Kitten Room, he started to explore it. He learned where the food was and then proceeded along the walls to the litter. The second day in the kitten room, he became very playful, interacting with the other cats. Amos has adapted extremely well and is an affectionate lap cat. |

the rescuer along with a fourth kitten. This beautiful, petite cat
likes people and enjoys being petted. She is a sister to Patra and

Andre - AvailableDescription: Male black.Narrative: This cat was rescued after a Harmony Haven member
died. The brother of the deceased member forced the cats, who were
inside, to go outside. A neighbor fed them until Harmony Haven could
rescue them. He was in the Graham's foster care until 7-16-2001.
Andre was very scared when he arrived at Harmony Haven, but he now enjoys
being petted.

Born about August 1, 2000.Narrative: B & W (black & white) was abandoned, but was fed by a rescuer until she could be caught and taken to Harmony Haven. She and Tortie were found in the same neighborhood. She is a very friendly cat and loves to be held and petted.

She was found in the Howard subdivision and had given birth to a kitten - Baby (listed on the Older Kittens page). Mama is very, very shy, although she can be petted.

Butter Rum - AdoptedDescription: Male long-haired orange and white. Born around September 1, 2004.Narrative: Butter Rum was severely injured by a pack of
stray dogs. After surgical repair, antibiotics, and a stay in the veterinary
hospital, he was able to convalesce and gain weight at Harmony Haven.
He is now a beautiful, healthy, and friendly cat who likes to be petted.
Butter Rum is especially proud of his gorgeous tail.

She was fostered by a volunteer along with her five kittens. When Josie was not tending her little family, she posted herself by the chair of the volunteer’s husband. Whenever he moved to another room, he had a feline escort. This friendly and beautiful cat with lovely green eyes will make a wonderful addition to your home.

Harmony Haven. Today he is more outgoing and has developed into a

definitely makes a statement. Brutus is the brother of Ben Hur and
Payton.

Payton - Adopted 12/20/02Description: Male black short-haired. Brought to Harmony Haven January 25, 2002. Born about January 1, 2001.Narrative: Payton, better known as “Refrigerator”, could
easily play center for the NFL (National Feline League). Despite
his size, he is a somewhat shy non-assertive cat. Payton is the “big”
brother of Ben Hur and Brutus.

Ben Hur - Adopted 5/25/02Description: Male black short-haired. Brought to Harmony Haven January 25, 2002. Born about January 1, 2001.Narrative: Ben Hur is a very friendly cat who seems to
smile when he sees visitors. His size is very impressive. This
people-oriented cat is one who will stand out in any crowd. Ben Hur
is the brother of Brutus and Payton.

Nova - Adopted 3/21/02Description: Male gray tabby with dark swirls on his body and long legs. Brought in July 5, 2001. Born around February 9, 2001.Narrative: Nova received his name because he is a lover like Casanova. A member started feeding this semi-feral, stray kitty about three months ago. As soon as she could catch him, she brought him to Harmony Haven. When he was brought in he was very scared and huddled in the corner. We worked with him until he liked being petted. He soon started purring very loudly when he was petted. On the second day, he could be carried and wanted to be petted all the time. He comes to the window to look for humans to pay attention to him. He nuzzles his beautiful little face against people. Nova would rather be petted than eat his food. In fact, he loves to be petted, but he's not a big eater. He is a lap kitty, who rolls over to have his belly rubbed. Nova has beautiful manners and is quite dignified. Here he enjoys sunning in the picture window. A man from Florida paid $40 toward his adoption. So Nova is available for adoption for $20. |

She was born about September 1, 2000.Narrative: Miss Kitty was living in a warehouse until she was rescued by a member. This beautiful cat is very loveable and responds to her name. Sweetheart - Adopted 10/24/01Description: Orange and white male. Born about August 1, 2000.Narrative: He was brought in on August 1, 2001 and is a very, very friendly and affectionate cat. He has the title of "Official Greeter" since he spends a lot of time in the office waiting for visitors.

Panda - Adopted 9/3/01Description: Female, long-haired black and white. Born about January 1, 2000.Narrative: On July 20, 2001 Panda was brought in by a
member who trapped her after gradually winning her trust. The first
day Panda was friendly, but after that she was not. Gradually, we
had to get her to trust us. She would only let herself be petted
after 3 days. On July 24, a volunteer was able to brush her.
She has the potential to be a very loving kitty. Panda would be good in
a home with adults and no children.
