Woody -  Available Description: Male short-haired black and white domestic.  Born around January 1, 2006. Narrative:  Woody got his name because he was found coming out of a wooded area.  He was apparently abandoned. Woody loves to be held and petted and purrs in appreciation. He especially enjoys having his tummy rubbed.  Woody is very friendly and affectionate and also very gentle. This lovely cat with the beautiful eyes will make a wonderful companion.

Calista -  Available Description: Female short-haired calico.  Born around August 1, 2006. Narrative:  Calista is a lovely cat with beautiful green eyes.  Calista is friendly, socialized, and gets along well with other cats.  She will make a fine family member.

Cuddles -  Available Description: Female tortoiseshell   Born around August 1, 2005. Narrative:  Cuddles definitely lives up to her name.  She is so loveable and cuddly.  And she likes both cats and dogs.  She especially likes to sit in laps and be petted.  This healthy, attractive cat will make a wonderful companion.

Sadie -  Available Description: Female short-haired brown tabby. Born around August 1, 2004. Narrative:   Sadie is very gentle and calm and loves to be held and petted.  She has a good disposition and gets along well with both dogs and cats.  Sadie will fit right into your home.

Colette -  Available Description: Female short-haired tabby with white markings.  Born around August 1, 2006. Narrative:  Colette is a very attractive cat with lovely green eyes. She likes to be held and petted and gets along well with the other cats in her room.  This beautiful cat will make a great family member.

Smoothie -  Available Description: Female short-haired tortoiseshell.  Born around August 1, 2005. Narrative:  Smoothie is a lovely tortoiseshell with a "smooth" disposition.  She was found as a stray.  She is very friendly, likes to be held and loves to be petted.  Smoothie would smoothly fit into your home and heart.

Gizmo -  Available Description: Female long-haired gray, orange,  and white calico.  Born around  March 1, 2005.  Narrative:  Gizmo is a lovely calico who is friendly and affectionate.  She is always looking for an available lap.  Our younger visitors enjoy holding her.  She will make a wonderful member of a family.

Sara Lee  -  Available Description:  Female short-haired black and white.  Born around July 1, 2002.  Narrative:  Sara Lee is a beautiful cat who  was abandoned along with her siblings.  She was adopted by an elderly lady and spent her days on her lap or on the back of her recliner.  Sara Lee slept with her every night.  Unfortunately, the lady passed away recently.  So Sara Lee is back at Harmony Haven and is looking for another person to whom she can give her devotion. She is  affectionate and likes to be held and petted.  She prefers to be an "only cat".

Carmen  -  Available Description: Female short-haired brown tabby.  Born around July 20, 2004.  Narrative: Carmen is an adorable kitten who was abandoned along with her siblings.  She is playful, curious and energetic.  She likes to be held and petted.  Carmen is just waiting to be a part of your home!

Muffin -  Available Description: Male medium-haired black and white.  Born around May 10, 2005.  Narrative:    Muffin has lots of energy, but also likes to be held and petted.  He lives in the room with adult cats and fits in well.  When he was brought to us, he was infested with fleas and had lost patches of hair.  Now he is healthy, has re-grown his fur, and is just waiting to be a part of your home!

Ebony  -  Available Description: Female long-haired black.  Born around July 20, 2004.  Narrative: Ebony was abandoned along with her siblings. She is playful, but loves to be held and petted.  Ebony decided to check out the photographer from a high perch and show off her beautiful bright eyes.  Her biggest wish is to join a family.

Don  -  Available Description: Male short-haired orange tabby.  Born around July 20, 2004.  Narrative: Don was named because of his  Dot On Nose. His rich-colored soft coat invites lots of petting from the volunteers. He is playful and ready for a home of his own.

Annie  -  Available Description: Female short-haired calico.  Born May 3, 2003. Narrative: Adorable is the best word to describe this beautiful cat!  She was especially cooperative during her photo session and agreed to pose in the basket.  She loves to be loved, but also is confident and holds her own with her four siblings.  Annie and her litter-mates were fostered by a volunteer and received lots of love and attention.  She would love to share your home.

Mitch  -  Available Description: Male short-haired tabby.  Born around August 15, 2003.  Narrative: Mitch is an adorable kitten who was abandoned along with his siblings.  He is playful and energetic.  He agreed to pose just long enough for a photograph. Mitch is just waiting to be a part of your home!

Arney  -  Available  Description:  Male short-haired black.  Born around May 15, 2003.  Narrative:  Arney is playful, energetic and interested in everything.  He was abandoned along with his siblings.  He likes to be held and petted and loves attention.  This charmer will make a fine addition to your home.

Barney  -  Available  Description:  Male short-haired black.  Born around May 15, 2003.  Narrative:  Barney was abandoned along with his siblings.  He is curious and interested in everything.  This playful and energetic cat would love to be part of your family.

Sally  -  Available  Description:  Female short-haired black with a white marking on her throat and a fluffy tail.  Born around July 1, 2002.  Narrative:  Sally was abandoned along with her siblings.  She is affectionate but a little shy.  Sally gets along well with other cats.  This beautiful cat will make a fine addition to your home.

Sweetie-Pie  -  Available Description:  Male short-haired gray with small amount of white on chest.  Was born around July 1, 2002. Narrative:  Sweetie-Pie was abandoned and found by a member.  This cutie loves to be held and petted and lives up to his name as a real sweetheart!

Gray Boy  -  Available Description:  Male short-haired gray.  Born around March 15, 2002.  Narrative:  Gray Boy was found high in a tree.  The tiny kitten could not get down and was crying and shivering with cold.  A member rescued him.  He was given milk until he was big enough to eat solid food.  This lovely, sleek cat is affectionate and likes attention.  He is looking for a good home!

Jade -  Available  Description: Female short-haired tabby.  Was born around September 1, 2001. Narrative: Jade is definitely a lap cat.  She loves to be held and petted.  This affectionate and appealing cat would be a special addition to your home!

Baby -  Available  Description: Male black short-haired cat brought in as a kitten by a Harmony Haven member who found him with his mother in the Howard subdivision. He was born about April 25, 2001. Narrative: Baby is a little shy, but likes to be petted. He has adjusted well and enjoys playing.

Diana  -  Available Description: Female gray with yellow markings.  Diana was brought in July 7, 2001. Born around April 21, 2001.  Narrative: Diana was brought in by a Harmony Haven member, who told us she was eating birds and mice, and living in a shed. Diana was the last of her litter. She was considered feral. Since the Harmony Haven member warned us to use caution when handling her, we placed her in a cage. At first she thrashed around her cage. When she settled down a little she just huddled, trembling. After she was talked to in soft tones for a while, she started purring. The following day, she started to love to be petted. After brief periods in her attendants' laps, she has become a lap kitty in only one day!  Diana is still shy and is also apprehensive around children.  A quiet home with adults would suit her purrfectly.

Amos  -  Available Description:  Male long-haired smoky black.  Brought in August 2, 2001.  He is completely blind in one eye.  Born around May 15, 2001. Narrative: Amos was blinded in one eye when he came to Harmony Haven.   However, when brought to the large Kitten Room, he started to explore it.  He learned where the food was and then proceeded along the walls to the litter.   The second day in the kitten room, he became very playful, interacting with the other cats.  Amos has adapted extremely well and is an affectionate lap cat.

Cleo  -  Available Description:  Female black and white short-haired.  Brought in August 7, 2001.  Born around May 1, 2001.  Narrative: The mother cat was abandoned  and adopted by the rescuer along with a fourth kitten.  This beautiful, petite cat likes people and enjoys being petted.  She is a sister to Patra and Jewel.

Patra  -  Available Description:   Female black and white short-haired.  Brought in August 7, 2001.  Born around May 1, 2001.  Narrative: The mother cat was abandoned  and adopted by the rescuer along with a fourth kitten. This cat kitten is a little shy but likes to be petted. She is the sister of Cleo and Jewel.

Jewel  -  Available Description:  Female gray and white short-haired.  Brought in August 7, 2001.  Born around May 1, 2001.  Narrative: The mother cat was abandoned  and adopted by the rescuer along with a fourth kitten. This cat is a little shy, but will warm up with attention.  She is the sister of Cleo and Patra.

Andre - Available Description:  Male black. Narrative: This cat was rescued after a Harmony Haven member died.  The brother of the deceased member forced the cats, who were inside, to go outside.  A neighbor fed them until Harmony Haven could rescue them.  He was in the Graham's foster care until 7-16-2001.  Andre was very scared when he arrived at Harmony Haven, but he now enjoys being petted.      .

Buddy - Available Description:  Male tan short-haired.  Brought to Harmony Haven in February, 2002.  Born about March 25, 2001. Narrative: This abandoned cat is shy, but can be petted.  He enjoys spending his time on the high perch in front of the window.  Buddy is most comfortable in a quiet atmosphere.      .

B & W - Available Description:  Female black and white short-haired.  Born about August 1, 2000. Narrative:  B & W (black & white) was abandoned, but was fed by a rescuer until she could be caught and taken to Harmony Haven.  She and Tortie were found in the same neighborhood.  She is a very friendly cat and loves to be held and petted.

Reba - Available Description:  Female black, orange and cream tortoise shell with short hair.  Brought to Harmony Haven in late February, 2002.  She was born about March 15, 2001.  Narrative: Reba is a very friendly and loving "people" cat.  She has been promoted to Greeter Cat and enjoys the attention of  Harmony Haven's visitors.               .

Missy - Available Description:  Female black and white long-haired. She is seven years old. Narrative: This beautiful cat is very affectionate but not demanding.  She loves to be petted but can also "do her own thing".  Missy would make a perfect companion for an adult.  Here she sits under a chair in the Education Room.

Tortie - Available Description:  Female gray short-haired with unusual orange markings. She was born about July 1, 2000. Narrative: Tortie was abandoned, but was fed by a rescuer until she could be caught and taken to Harmony Haven.  She and B & W were found in the same neighborhood.  This friendly and loveable cat is enjoying being on one of the perches with her "special friend".

Lance  -  Adopted  Description:  Male short-haired tabby with predominantly white markings.  Born around May 1, 2002.  Narrative:  Lance was abandoned along with his mother and siblings.  He is very affectionate, likes to be held and petted, and loves attention.  This beautiful cat will make a fine addition to your home.

 

Butter Rum -  Adopted Description: Male long-haired orange and white.  Born around September 1, 2004.  Narrative:  Butter Rum was severely injured by a pack of stray dogs. After surgical repair, antibiotics, and a stay in the veterinary hospital, he was able to convalesce and gain weight at Harmony Haven.  He is now a beautiful, healthy, and friendly cat who likes to be petted. Butter Rum is especially proud of his gorgeous tail.

 

Jennifer -  Adopted  Description: Female short-haired tabby with white chest and paws.  Was born about September 1, 2001. Narrative: Jennifer was found by a member.  She loves to be held and petted.  This affectionate and appealing cat would like to go home with you!

 

Goldie  -  Adopted Description: Female long-haired yellow domestic.  Born about January 15, 2004. Narrative: Goldie is a beautiful cat with a lovely soft long-haired coat and a calm temperament.  Her favorite pastime is to doze in someone's lap and purr her contentment.  She will make a wonderful companion.

 

Stripes  -  Adopted 3/18/06 Description: Male short-haired brown tabby.  Born around July 20, 2004.  Narrative: This handsome gentleman has  wide markings that make an attractive statement. He was abandoned, but now enjoys  perches, toys and the companionship of his room-mates.  As you can see from his photograph, he is very curious.  Stripes likes to be petted and would make a fine addition to your family.

 

Noel  -  Adopted 3/1/06  Description:  Female short-haired black and white.  Born around February 1, 2002.  Narrative:  Noel was abandoned and rescued by a member.  She is affectionate and likes to be held and petted.  Noel feels she would do best as the "only cat" in your home.  This lovely cat will make a fine companion.

 

Bill  -  Adopted 1/13/06 Description: Male short-haired orange and white.  Born around July 20, 2004.  Narrative: Bill is a lovely kitten with beautiful bronze eyes.  He is healthy and active, but loves to be held and petted. (Bill chose his own setting in which to be photographed.)  He will make a wonderful addition to your home.

 

Happy Jack  -  Adopted Description: Male predominately Siamese.  Born about June 15, 2003. Narrative: This handsome gentleman has gorgeous blue eyes and a loveable disposition.  He likes to play and be petted.  Happy Jack regards himself as a classy cat and will definitely be a fine addition to your home.     See my blue eyes!

 

Susie  -  Adopted 2/18/05  Description:  Female short-haired tabby.   Born around July 1, 2002.  Narrative:  Susie was abandoned along with her siblings. She likes to be held and petted, and claims a volunteer's lap as often as possible.  Susie gets along well with other cats and would love to be a part of your home.

 

Diamond Jim  -  Adopted 2/12/05 Description: Male short-haired white with a few black markings.  Has a black "diamond" on his face.  Born around November 20, 2003.  Narrative: Diamond Jim is an adorable kitten who was abandoned along with his siblings.  He is playful and energetic.  He likes to be held and purrs with pleasure.  Diamond Jim is just waiting to be a part of your home!

 

Danny -  Adopted 12/18/04  Description:  Male short-haired dark gray.   Born around May 15, 2003.  Narrative:   Danny is somewhat reserved, but will quickly warm up with attention.  He was very cooperative during his photo session.  Danny was abandoned along with his siblings.  This charming cat will make a fine addition to your home.

 

David  -  Adopted 12/18/04  Description:  Male short-haired black and white.  Born around May 15, 2003.  Narrative: David was abandoned as a small kitten. His sleek black and white coat makes him a very attractive guy. David is "head cat" among his room-mates. He likes attention from the volunteers.  David is anxious to join a family.

 

Andrew  -  Adopted 11/20/04 Description: Male short-haired white and tabby.  Born May 3, 2003.  Narrative: This handsome gentleman is a “laid back” feline with beautiful green eyes.  Although he is rather quiet, he is friendly and independent.  Andrew and his four siblings were fostered by a volunteer and received lots of attention and love.  He would like to join a loving family.

 

Angel -  Adopted 9/04  Description:  Female short-haired tortoiseshell with brown and orange markings.  Born around May 15, 2003.  Narrative:  Angel is an attractive brown and orange tortoiseshell who was abandoned as a small kitten.  Angel is very lively and loves to be petted and loved.  Angel is anxious to join a family.

 

Josie -  Adopted 3/19/04 Description: Female long-haired white with tabby markings.  Born around May 2002.  Narrative: Josie, a recent mother, was found by a staff member.  She was fostered by a volunteer along with her five kittens.  When Josie was not tending her little family, she posted herself by the chair of the volunteer’s husband.  Whenever he moved to another room, he had a feline escort.  This friendly and beautiful cat with lovely green eyes will make a wonderful addition to your home.

 

Sassy  -  Adopted 1/16/04 Description:  Female long-haired black.    Born around March 1, 2002. Narrative:  Sassy was found as a tiny kitten wandering on a golf course.  She was brought in by a visitor from California.  Sassy loves to be held and petted.  She would make a wonderful addition to your home!

 

Mikey  -  Adopted 12/19/03 Description:  Male long-haired black with white chest and toes.  Was born around July 1, 2002. Narrative:  This beautiful cat is very loveable.  He likes to sit on your lap and be petted.  He is a favorite of the volunteers.  Mikey's lovely coat makes him outstanding.

 

Josh  -  Adopted 11/17/03 Description:  Male long-haired Maine Coon.  Born around October 1, 2001. Narrative:  Gorgeous is the only word to describe Josh. He has beautiful shiny long hair and lovely sea-green eyes. Josh is a favorite of the volunteers and spends a lot of his time in the office. He likes to sit on laps and be petted.  Josh will make a delightful companion.

 

Brutus - Adopted 8/15/03 Description:  Male black short-haired.  Brought to Harmony Haven January 25, 2002.  Born about January 1, 2001.  Narrative:  Brutus was very shy when he first arrived at Harmony Haven.  Today he is more outgoing and has developed into a friendly, courteous cat.  Because of his size, this is a cat that definitely makes a statement.  Brutus is the brother of Ben Hur and Payton.

 

Samantha -  Adopted 8/15/03  Description: Female gray and black striped short-haired tabby.  She was born about July 15, 2001. Narrative: Samantha is a very attractive and petite tabby.  She is quite friendly and likes to be held.  She was featured on WTWO TV.

 

Lacey -  Adopted 2/19/03 Description: Female long-haired gray.  Was born approximately November 1, 2001. Narrative: Lacey was found by a member.  She loves to be held and petted.  This soft, fluffy ball of fur is just waiting to go home with you!

 

Tabitha - Adopted 1/10/03 Description:  Female brown and black tabby with long hair.  Brought in August 7, 2001.  Born about August 1, 2000.  Narrative: This beautiful and friendly cat was brought in as a stray.  She is very loveable and likes attention and affection.  Her ambition is to join a family as the "only cat".

 

Payton - Adopted 12/20/02 Description:  Male black short-haired.  Brought to Harmony Haven January 25, 2002.  Born about January 1, 2001.  Narrative:  Payton, better known as “Refrigerator”, could easily play center for the NFL (National Feline League).  Despite his size, he is a somewhat shy non-assertive cat.  Payton is the “big” brother of Ben Hur and Brutus.

 

Ben Hur - Adopted 5/25/02 Description:  Male black short-haired.  Brought to Harmony Haven January 25, 2002.  Born about January 1, 2001.  Narrative:  Ben Hur is a very friendly cat who seems to smile when he sees visitors.  His size is very impressive.  This people-oriented cat is one who will stand out in any crowd.  Ben Hur is the brother of Brutus and Payton.

 

Nova  -  Adopted 3/21/02 Description:  Male gray tabby with dark swirls on his body and long legs.  Brought in July 5, 2001.  Born around February 9, 2001. Narrative: Nova received his name because he is a lover like Casanova.  A member started feeding this semi-feral, stray kitty about three months ago.  As soon as she could catch him, she brought him to Harmony Haven.  When he was brought in he was very scared and huddled in the corner.  We worked with him until he liked being petted.  He soon started purring very loudly when he was petted.  On the second day, he could be carried and wanted to be petted all the time.  He comes to the window to look for humans to pay attention to him.  He nuzzles his beautiful little face against people.   Nova would rather be petted than eat his food.  In fact, he loves to be petted, but he's not a big eater.  He is a lap kitty, who rolls over to have his belly rubbed.  Nova has beautiful manners and is quite  dignified. Here he enjoys sunning in the picture window. A man from Florida paid $40 toward his adoption.  So Nova is available for adoption for $20.

 

Miss Kitty - Adopted 3/16/02 Description:  Female calico - mainly white with orange and gray markings.  She was born about September 1, 2000. Narrative: Miss Kitty was living in a warehouse until she was rescued by a member.  This beautiful cat  is very loveable and responds to her name.  Here she shares a perch with two "friends"

 

Sweetheart  -  Adopted 10/24/01 Description:  Orange and white male.  Born about August 1, 2000. Narrative: He was brought in on August 1, 2001 and is a very, very friendly and affectionate cat.  He has the title of  "Official Greeter" since he spends a lot of time in the office waiting for visitors.

 

Panda  -  Adopted 9/3/01 Description:  Female, long-haired black and white. Born about January 1, 2000.  Narrative: On July 20, 2001 Panda was brought in by a member who trapped her after gradually winning her trust.  The first day Panda was friendly, but after that she was not.  Gradually, we had to get her to trust us.  She would only let herself be petted after 3 days.  On July 24, a volunteer was able to brush her.  She has the potential to be a very loving kitty. Panda would be good in a home with adults and no children.
